An excellent performance by one of my favorite breakout acts this year... Danish singer Oh Land.

Kylie Minogue - Better Than Today (Bills & Hurr Remix)

Killer Kylie Remix

Cults - Go Outside (Brainbheats Remix)

Excellent mix to CULTS single "Go Outside" by up-and-coming musician and producer Brian Healey aka Brainbheats

Erik Hassle - Are You Leaving

He came onto the scene at around the same time as Ellie Goulding even teaming up together on a killer duet of Robyn's "Be Mine." One of Erik's latest singles "Are You Leaving" happens to be my favorite.

Take a listen.

Wynter Gordon - Renegade

Wynter Gordon is gearing up for the release of her debut album With The Music I Die and to gear up for it myself I'm getting into anything and everything I can find by this promising new talent.

"Renegade" is produced by Static Revenger for the Trouble with Wynter Mixtape.

It's easily the best song from the mixtape.

Judge for yourself!

Interview With Diamond Rings on AfterElton.com June 21st

I had a wonderful time chatting with out pop sensation Diamond Rings today discussing everything from his recent tour opening for Swedish Sensation Robyn, our affinity towards new indie-act Austra, his most recent concert experience as an audience goer (It was Kylie Minogue!!!! I so wanna go see her now), and his recent signing with Astralwerks, where he's now being represented by the same record label as Kylie Minogue, Empire of the Sun, Phoenix, David Guetta, Pet Shop Boys, Brian Eno and Swedish House Mafia!

What an honor and a compliment!

He's excited to be a part of a new wave of singers and entertainers who are starting their careers out of the closet from the get-go and are making a huge positive impression for our current younger generation.

He's an awesome guy and I'm so excited to share this interview with you all over on AfterElton.com in our next New Music Mix on Tuesday, June 21st!

Guys, I cannot get into this song. Second time playing, still not growing on me. What are your thoughts though?

Diamond Rings

I'll be interviewing John O aka Diamond Rings tomorrow at 2pm. While scrolling through some of his videos tonight, I'm taken aback by how talented he is. His videos are all so fresh and entertaining and it's hard to believe that this larger than life voice is coming from this 25 year-old guy. I'm excited to find out what he's like.

Toddla T - "Take It Back"

Loving BRIT Award-winning singer Shola Ama's vocals on this HOT new track by Toddla T. Remixes are available by Dillon Francis, The 2 Bears, D1, Des Demure and DJ Q. Think I like DJ Q's best :)

Annie Lennox - "Pavement Cracks (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)"

San Francisco based DJs Gabriel & Dresden bring new life to this amazing Annie Lennox track. It's an oldie but felt it was worth a share if you weren't already acquainted.

The Strokes "Machu Picchu"

I know I'm a few months late to chime in on this, but The Strokes latest album Angles is in fact as good as it has been acclaimed to be and this gem "Machu Piccu" is currently on repeat. UPDATE: It's not that good. This song is probably the best on it. I didn't even care for the lead single "Under Cover of Darkness" suprisingly.

Ellie Goulding - "Your Song (Blackmill Dubstep Remix)"

Blackmill makes this song sooooo much better. I never really cared for the original to be honest, even though it has been Goulding's highest charting song to date. Finally like it now.

Benny Benassi @ The Mid, Chicago

Thursday night was spent dancing my @$$ off to Benny Benassi DJing at the Mid in Chicago. It was an incredible experience and my first big DJ night. The show was sold out and packed to capacity and was just indescribly fun. I got right up in the front of the mosh pit with the cool air horns blowing down as Benassi spun hits like his track "Cinema," his latest project with Chris Brown "Beautiful People" and Swedish House Mafia's excellent new track "Save the World Tonight." Here is some of the footage of the night.

Swedish House Mafia's "Save The World Tonight"

Chris Brown's "Beautiful People"

Janelle Monae @ The Aragon, Chicago

Over the weekend I caught Janelle Monae in concert on her "Hooligans in Wonderland" Tour with Bruno Mars at the Aragon in Chicago. She was every bit as remarkable a performer as I had expected as she belted out hit after hit on her exceptional album The Archandroid. Enjoy

"Dance Or Die"

"Sincerely, Jane"

Jackson 5 Cover of "I Want You Back"

"Tightrope"

Lykke Li @ The Metro, Chicago

This week I was able to catch the impressive theatrical show of Swedish singer Lykke Li. Here are some of my video takeaways

"I'm Good, I"m Gone"

"I Follow Rivers"

"Little Bit"

Simian Mobile Disco @ The Mid

This was a while back but worth a post, Simian Mobile Disco are easily one of my favorite electronic producers/remixers/djs. Their sound is just so fresh and so original.

James Ford who makes up one half of this dynamic duo produced "Dog Days Are Over" and three other tracks off Florence & The Machine's outstanding debut album Lungs.

Here are two highlights from their killer show at the Mid in Chicago on March 16, 2011

"Cruel Intentions"

"Sleep Deprivation"

NKOTBSB Show Opener for their First Show on their North American Tour

All I kept thinking was these guys are so desperate to revive their careers.

My co-concertgoers called them Jersey Shore with microphones.

And yes, they are putting out an album together.

Mateo - Empire State Of Mind

This beautiful cover of the Jay-Z/Alicia Keys song is somehow stuck in my head... and that's a good thing. I may like it better than the original.
